Dr. Martin Wieland

The Chairman of ICOLD Committee on Seismic Aspects of Dam Design. He is also the Chairman of the Earthquake Committee of the Swiss Dam Society. He is a senior dam and earthquake expert at Poyry Energy Ltd. in Zurich, Switzerland.

Former Vice President of ICOLD. He is the Chairman of the Committee on Burkinabè Dams Chairman of BUCOD.

Dr. Jean-Pierre Tournier

Dr. Jean-Pierre Tournier, with 35 years of experience, is the Canadian Representative and a Member of the Committee on "Materials for the Fill Dams" for the International Commission on Large Dams and he is the Chairman since 2010. Dr. Tournier is also an expert consultant at the Hydro-Quebec in Canada.

Tetsuya Sumi

Professor of Water Resources Research Center, Disaster Prevention Research Institute, Kyoto University in Japan. He is a chairman of the scientific committee of the International Symposium at ICOLD Congress in Kyoto 2012. Dr. Sumi is also contributing to several international associations and conferences such as ICOLD, IAHR, ISRS and ISE.

Dr. Nick Barton

Dr. Nick Barton is internationally well known as a Rock Mechanics expert. He received his Ph.D in Rock Mechanics from Imperial College, London in 1971. He has consulted on numerous tunnel, TBM and cavern projects, on reservoir subsidence, rock stress measurement, nuclear waste disposal and rockfill and arch dam projects, in 35 different countries in the last 40 years.

Mirosław Skibniewski

Professor of Construction Engineering and Project Management in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland in College Park. Prior to his current appointment he served for 20 years as a faculty member at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, Construction Engineering and Management.

Dimitri solomatine

Professor of Hydroinformatics of IHE-Delft, Member of the International Association of Hydraulic Research and Engineering (IAHR), Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Computational Intelligence Society.

Mr. Egon Failer

is Executive Director of Lahmeyer International, with overall responsibility for the Hydropower and Water Resource Division. His special fields of experience are hydropower engineering, tendering and contracting, project and construction management and financing of projects.

Dr. Babak Bozorgy

• Currently as a member of the Asia-Pacific design team at the MWH Global, Dr. Babak Bozorgy is a Senior Civil Engineer with a PhD in Water Resources Engineering and extensive experience of 15 years in water resources planning and management and hydraulic design of civil infrastructure in different countries such as Iran, UAE and Australia.

Dr. Philippe Heller

Director of e-dric.ch in Switzerland, He holds a PhD degree in Civil Engineering. His expertise is in the area of water resources management.

Dr. Thomas Pagano

A PhD Holder and Hydrologic Modeller, one of the leaders of short-term stream flow forecasting activities in the Water Information Researches.

Dr. Petar Milanovic

A PhD holder and Distinguished Expert in karst. He has also 40 years experience in the investigation, analysis, and design of geotechnical structures related to different civil structures in karstified rock masses
